It is rightly said that books are the bestest friend one can have. Today I am going to share 5 best self help / motivational book to read in your lifetime.
Firstly , I see that a lot of peopls have a great misunderstanding of self help books and its readers / lovers. Let me be very frank and tell you that self help is my favourite genre. I love it the most and why I love it the most ? It is because it always recharges my low battery. when life throws a googly at me , I turn to a good motivational self help book to feed my soul.
A lot of peopls think that self help is something like a asylum to a mental patient. A big NO to such thinkers . Its NOT !! I dont want write pages on the reality and generosity of self help genre because those of you who understand will keep understanding.
But you know what ? I created a thought on this. Will you mind reading ?

Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light.

This book is written by Jeff Keller.
Mr. Keller divides the book into three parts with each part containing a series of lessons.
In part 1 – * power of attitude
* Belief to shape future.
In part 2 – * What words you speak.
* How words affect your attitude.
In part 3 – * Take action
You can pick this book even if you are a fully positive personality. It will be a nice read for sure.
2. The ALCHEMIST :-
The second on my list but my favourite fable. The book says its a fable about fulfilling your dreams and so it is. A bulky mass of nobility will give you a different look to your own life from the very first page itself.
Its a story of a young shepherd who left his home in young age to experience travelling. He once gets a dream that the pyramids of egypt has some treasure hidden. He sets his journey to the place miles away. Every character in his journey has his own wisdom to share .
The book will make you believe in the power of beliefs and dreams. It is a bestseller by paulo coelho ( my favourite author ).
3. MANUAL OF THE WARRIOR OF LIGHT
This book is again a bestseller by paulo coelho , a very renowned motivational writer.
A very light but inspiring read. In essence, like all books, it is a spiritual manual which could be read as a course in leadership or an inspiring manual for living life as authentically as possible.
4. WHO MOVED MY CHEESE :-
A fictional and a little comical fable.
This is the story of 2 mice – Sniff & Scurry and 2 persons – Hem& Haw, who are as tiny as mice and their search for cheese to survive in their world that is a maze. The mice were the guys who adapted themselves always to the changes around them and survived happily whereas the 2 persons weren’t so adaptable to the changes happening around them and faced difficulties. The story tells you what you are going to gain when you adapt yourself to the situations around you rather than to suffer at one place. The cheese in this story can be related to many things in your life like work, money, family, knowledge etc…
The fable captures well that moment after we have lost a job or a relationship and we believe it is the end of the world. All the good things were in the previous situation, and all the future holds is fear. Yet Johnson’s message is, instead of seeing change as the end of something, we must learn to see it as a beginning. We have all been told this, but sometimes motivation is lacking. To make himself accept reality, Haw writes this on the wall of the maze: “If you do not change, you can become extinct.”Many will regard Spencer Johnson’s sub-100 page work as trite, but its valuable lesson is easily remembered: Do you have a ‘big cheese’ in your life that you believe will last forever?
5. THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI
written by renowned writer Robin Sharma. This book hold great wisdom and practical ways to follow it.
It is story of a lawyer , incomparable in his field. He soon looses all his interest and excitement in life. He finds no meaning and satisfaction in what he is best at. After a heart attack he decides to leave everything and travel to the great Himalyas of India . There he meets sages of sivannas who teach him the secrets of life , happiness and success. He finally comes back as a totally altered personality and narrates the secrets to his friend.
The book is interesting and short. It gives you chapterwise information and really practical methods to follow.
All these books are in my shelf. I reviewd them because I have actually read them. You can pick them at any stage of your life. Afterall a good book is the bestest friend one can have !!
